Fiobian Besseling charged in rather forcefully in the 4th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fiobian Besseling the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 5th match minute, Nadur Youngsters was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fiobian Besseling to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 7 minutes, Pierre Mumford managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marsa whitestars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pierre Mumford was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 13th minute, Colin Brincau made a precise shot to the right of Clayton Fava. Marsa whitestars's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 30th minute the ball was on its way in behind Marsa whitestars's goalkeeper Clayton Fava, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Colin Brincau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Fiobian Besseling got his second yellow card in the match during the 41st minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Fiobian Besseling hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Duminku Peel took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Mumford, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Colin Brincau stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute Colin Brincau shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Clayton Fava saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Colin Brincau sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Luke Darmanin got free with Duminku Peel in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Nadur Youngsters's Duminku Peel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pierre Mumford in the 66th minute of play. Duminku Peel made a fantastic save in the 68th minute, when Luke Darmanin sent off a good shot on target. Tim Coleiro kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Marsa whitestars's Clayton Fava played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colin Brincau in the 72nd minute of play. When Luke Darmanin came up free with the goalie in the 78th minute, the Marsa whitestars fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Luke Darmanin couldn't finish the play. If Luke Darmanin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Duminku Peel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Pierre Mumford, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Tim Coleiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 84th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pierre Mumford had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pierre Mumford struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Duminku Peel didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Marsa whitestars.
