Spectators: 40 (Terracing: 31, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Marsascala Dynamos's Anthony Mamo started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tim Callus in the 4th minute of play forced Marsascala Dynamos's goalkeeper Pierre Bartolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jonathan Scriha blasted a shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Pierre Bartolo having to make a save. 7 minutes into the game, Tim Callus was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gharb Rangers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marsascala Dynamos the free kick. In the 7th minute, Tim Callus hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Anthony Mamo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Juan Duca having to interfere. In the 11th minute Vincent Bugeja suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. After 11 minutes of play Gharb Rangers's Tim Callus was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 14th match minute, Gharb Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Callus to maneuver through the defense. Juan Duca took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Anthony Mamo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Andrè Meilak managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marsascala Dynamos's supporters rose to their feet, but Andrè Meilak was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Juan Duca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 21 minutes, Andrè Meilak managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marsascala Dynamos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Andrè Meilak was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Anthony Mamo came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Marsascala Dynamos fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Anthony Mamo couldn't finish the play. After 29 minutes, Matt Manicolo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Marsascala Dynamos and the Gharb Rangers players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Marsascala Dynamos getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Matt Manicolo hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the match, Marsascala Dynamos's goalkeeper Pierre Bartolo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Roberto Teuma Castelletti. After having played for 34 minutes, Tony Petroni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gharb Rangers's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tony Petroni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Joseph Rapinett received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Pierre Bartolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tony Petroni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 46thth minute of the game Tim Fiott who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Gharb Rangers's Juan Duca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Tony Petroni was the one to do the kick off. In the 50th match minute, Gharb Rangers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Roberto Teuma Castelletti to maneuver through the defense. With a little luck, Gharb Rangers's Juan Duca got control of the ball when Anthony Mamo tried to sneak it across the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Tim Fiott kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Juan Duca. That made the score 0-1 in the 59 minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Anthony Mamo got free with Juan Duca in the 62nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 64th match minute, Marsascala Dynamos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tim Fiott to maneuver through the defense. Anthony Mamo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Andrè Meilak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roberto Teuma Castelletti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Pierre Bartolo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joseph Rapinett in the 95th minute of the match.
