Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Georg Baumgärtner started the match with the kick off. The supporters of F91 Dudelange booed when Leytonstone was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christof Pfohl didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jean-Claude Eberhardt in the 7th minute of play forced Leytonstone's goalkeeper Milo Fux to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georg Baumgärtner received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Philip von Prittwitz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 16 minutes into the match, Leytonstone's goal looked a bit too open when Dennis Gottschalk came free, but Milo Fux reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Leytonstone's Georg Baumgärtner slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Philip von Prittwitz. That made the score 1-0 after 20 minutes of play. Pierre Auerswalds short, quick shot in the 32ndth minute got Philip von Prittwitz to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When the match had gone on for 33 minutes, Georg Baumgärtner took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Philip von Prittwitz to make any attempt to save it. In the 39th minute, Leytonstone's Georg Baumgärtner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Philip von Prittwitz. Philip von Prittwitz yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 3-0. Charlie Nassau took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 45th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Philip von Prittwitz. F91 Dudelange's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Philip von Prittwitz stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Georg Baumgärtner's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. A collision led to F91 Dudelange getting a freekick after 48 minutes play. Ed Rauschenberger hit a great ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 3-0.
With a couple of smart ball manuevers Pierre Auerswald in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Philip von Prittwitz saved F91 Dudelange from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Georg Baumgärtner in the 58th minute of play forced F91 Dudelange's goalkeeper Philip von Prittwitz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Georg Baumgärtner sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Pierre Auerswald had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jean-Claude Eberhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Milo Fux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leytonstone's Georg Baumgärtner in the 77th minute got a chance for a shot 77th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye F91 Dudelange's goalie prevented a goal. Philip von Prittwitz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pierre Auerswald, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Jean-Claude Eberhardt received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Milo Fux tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 89th minute, Georg Baumgärtner ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Philip von Prittwitz was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. Leytonstone's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
