The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Rëmeleng United getting a freekick after 2 minutes play. Teddy Seimetz hit a great ball. 6 minutes into the match, Teddy Seimetz had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oswaldo Gonzáles. Littlehampton's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Teddy Seimetz was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After 13 played minutes Rëmeleng United got a freekick which was hit by Nick Balmer. When the match clock showed 36 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Münir Bozbey sped through Rëmeleng United's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Lothar Fiedler. In the 41st minute, Therkild Braatting hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 43rd minute Münir Bozbey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lothar Fiedler saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Dietrich Walch managed to get in a good position for a shot. Littlehampton's supporters rose to their feet, but Dietrich Walch was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lothar Fiedler breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Münir Bozbey stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Diego Goyeneche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lothar Fiedler having to interfere. 60 minutes into the match, Littlehampton's goalkeeper Oswaldo Gonzáles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Nick Balmer. In the 61st match minute, Littlehampton was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Billy Kaiser to maneuver through the defense. A collision led to Littlehampton getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Billy Kaiser hit a great ball. Lazlo Rauschenberger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 64th minute. Oswaldo Gonzáles tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 69 played minutes Rëmeleng United got a freekick which was hit by Nick Balmer. The supporters of Littlehampton booed when Rëmeleng United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 73 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donny Backer didn't get a good kick on the ball. A collision led to Rëmeleng United getting a freekick after 75 minutes play. Donny Backer hit a great ball. Münir Bozbey recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 79 minutes into the game, Rico Rickfors cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Lothar Fiedler was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. A collision led to Littlehampton getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Therkild Braatting hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Rëmeleng United's zone, Thomas Sjögren stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lothar Fiedler came out of the goal and Thomas Sjögren tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donny Backer's late challenge caught a Littlehampton's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Donny Backer helped the player get up and apologised. Donny Backer kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
