Leopold Schäpper received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Andreas Mydla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Glossop's Etienne Risch got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leopold Schäpper in the 34th minute of play forced Glossop's goalkeeper Andreas Mydla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jürgen Rahel charged in rather forcefully in the 34th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jürgen Rahel the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Jürgen Rahel hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabio Caduff in the 43rd minute of play forced Glossop's goalkeeper Andreas Mydla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 45th minute Etienne Risch shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Marko Christen saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Fabio Caduff made the kick off in the second half. Andreas Mydla was a little too slow when Leopold Schäpper got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 55th minute. The score was now 0-2. Leopold Schäpper fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andreas Mydla having to interfere. Leopold Schäpper recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 68th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marko Christen showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Etienne Risch, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 78 minutes into the match, Glossop's goalkeeper Andreas Mydla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabio Caduff. Andreas Mydla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Leopold Schäpper, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Wem played a much better game than Glossop and deserved their victory. The Glossop players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
