Lucas Lage-Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roman Peter, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 10 minutes into the game, Fredi Eberle was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. DopplerEffekt's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave VaduZ CF the free kick. In the 10th minute, Fredi Eberle hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 16 minutes into the match, VaduZ CF's goal looked a bit too open when Roman Peter came free, but Lucas Lage-Martins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. DopplerEffekt's Mathias von Opel played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Anto Dietsche in the 18th minute of play. Tobias Deflorin recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 23rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. During the 26th minute of the match Fredi Eberle completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Fredi Eberle a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 27th match minute, DopplerEffekt was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fredi Eberle to maneuver through the defense. Tobias Deflorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Tobias Deflorin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lucas Lage-Martins having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Salvatore Huchler during the 47th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 49th minute there was a penalty for VaduZ CF. Michael Hilbe stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Mathias von Opel. 0-3. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tobias Deflorin to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to DopplerEffekt getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Urs Ryffel hit a great ball. In the 57th minute, one of DopplerEffekt:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for DopplerEffekt. DopplerEffekt:s Mathias von Opel showed great skill when he stopped Michael Hilbe:s penalty. In the 61st minute Tobias Deflorin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Lucas Lage-Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dominic Alija sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the DopplerEffekt defense, Dominic Alija kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Mathias von Opel. The DopplerEffekt fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Mathias von Opel should have stopped the shot. When the match had gone on for 77 minutes, Anto Dietsche took a quick shot and it went in 0-5 without a chance for Mathias von Opel to make any attempt to save it. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Tobias Deflorin managed to get in a good position for a shot. DopplerEffekt's supporters rose to their feet, but Tobias Deflorin was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Lucas Lage-Martins breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Robin Ammann's late challenge caught a DopplerEffekt's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Robin Ammann helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of DopplerEffekt booed when VaduZ CF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robin Ammann didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a little luck, DopplerEffekt's Mathias von Opel got control of the ball when Dominic Alija tried to sneak it across the goal line. 95 minutes into the game, one of VaduZ CF:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Anto Dietsche's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Mathias von Opel read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 100th minute of play. After 102 minutes, Daniel Ospelt mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the DopplerEffekt and the VaduZ CF players grew even worse after the yellow card. Daniel Ospelt kicked well hit freekick during the 103rd minute of the match. Dominic Alija recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 104th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The VaduZ CF players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
