When Cristiano Piano came up free with the goalie in the 4th minute, the Prospiano FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristiano Piano couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Udine's zone, Antonello Giacchetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cristoforo Romano came out of the goal and Antonello Giacchetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 8 minutes into the match, Prospiano FC's Cristiano Piano sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cristoforo Romano narrowly saved just below the crossbar. 10 minutes into the match, Udine's goal looked a bit too open when Antonello Giacchetti came free, but Cristoforo Romano reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Edmondo Pedrelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Prospiano FC's Cristiano Piano in 17 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Cristoforo Romano guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Dennis Matteucci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Hell having to interfere. Edmondo Pedrelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 43rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 2-0.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Antonello Giacchetti to strike the kick off in the second half. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulvio Hell prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Udine getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Donato Costantino hit a great ball. Cristiano Piano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristoforo Romano having to interfere. Angelo Piretti kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. With a little luck, Udine's Cristoforo Romano got control of the ball when Cristiano Piano tried to sneak it across the goal line. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Udine fans cheered their team off the field, for while Prospiano FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
