An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro De Matteis in the 15th minute of play forced Brattese's goalkeeper Federico Alleva to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 16th minute Ciro De Matteis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Federico Alleva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 17 played minutes Brattese got a freekick which was hit by Damiano Silvagni. After 18 minutes, Alberigo Bianco mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scuole Cristiane CalcioVC and the Brattese players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Scuole Cristiane CalcioVC getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Alberigo Bianco hit a great ball. Ettore Guadagnoli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 31st minute. Federico Alleva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Scuole Cristiane CalcioVC's Angelo Lazzaro got control of the ball when Demetrio Di Paola tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 36th minute, Brattese's Damiano Silvagni ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Angelo Lazzaro. Angelo Lazzaro yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. Domenico Albertosi lost his temper 39 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. 39 minutes into the game, one of Scuole Cristiane CalcioVC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Angelo Lazzaro had in the 41stth minute some difficulties stopping Felice Toccaceli's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

54 minutes into the match, Brattese's goalkeeper Federico Alleva had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Fabiano Granato. If Ettore Guadagnoli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 61 minutes, Ain Liib managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Scuole Cristiane CalcioVC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ain Liib was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 64th minute, Fabiano Granato reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Federico Alleva. The goal made the score 1-2. Angelo Lazzaro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Augusto Di Nucci, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 70th minute, Damiano Silvagni made a precise shot to the right of Angelo Lazzaro. Scuole Cristiane CalcioVC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-2. Beppe Selvi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Federico Alleva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
