The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ettore Macchia during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 21stth minute of the game Carter Esposito who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Borgo Santa Maria's Ermanno Giusto was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Cologna's Edoardo Gallucci played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emiliano Barone in the 23rd minute of play. Borgo Santa Maria's Ermanno Giusto proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Borgo Santa Maria from getting a goal against them. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Carter Esposito managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cologna's supporters rose to their feet, but Carter Esposito was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ermanno Giusto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ermanno Giusto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Carter Esposito, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Borgo Santa Maria getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Arturo De Amicis hit a great ball. Borgo Santa Maria's Ermanno Giusto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Carter Esposito in the 37th minute of play. Emiliano Barone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Edoardo Gallucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Borgo Santa Maria's Emiliano Barone got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carter Esposito to make the kick off. Fabio Falcioni received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Edoardo Gallucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Cologna's Edoardo Gallucci got control of the ball when Emiliano Barone tried to sneak it across the goal line. Emiliano Barone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edoardo Gallucci having to interfere. Borgo Santa Maria's Francesco Del Monte shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 66th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edoardo Gallucci but with some difficulty. Fabrizio Fava fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ermanno Giusto having to interfere. When Arturo De Amicis came up free with the goalie in the 75th minute, the Borgo Santa Maria fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arturo De Amicis couldn't finish the play.
