Gaione's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anselmo Colucci was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Anselmo Colucci in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fortunato Riccitelli saved Gaione from getting behind. In the 10th minute Anselmo Colucci shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fortunato Riccitelli saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 12 played minutes Gaione got a freekick which was hit by Diego Albanesi. The audience was convinced that Arrigo Salerno's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Fortunato Riccitelli was relentless in the 15th minute of the game. In the 23rd minute Carmine Borromeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Giannantonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gaione's Fortunato Riccitelli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arrigo Salerno in the 26th minute of play. Fortunato Riccitelli showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arrigo Salerno in the 31st minute of the match. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gaione's goalkeeper Fortunato Riccitelli, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 39th minute, Demetrio Pan made a precise shot to the right of Edoardo Giannantonio. Frittole's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Arrigo Salerno sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 47 minutes in the game, Carmine Borromeo fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Edoardo Giannantonio having to interfere. After 47 minutes, Emilio Taccone mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frittole and the Gaione players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Gaione booed when Frittole was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 47 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emilio Taccone didn't get a good kick on the ball. Felice Pompilio was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 48th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Beppe Cesare during the 56th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gaione getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Beppe Cesare hit a great ball. 62 minutes into the match, Gaione's goalkeeper Fortunato Riccitelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Arrigo Salerno. 64 minutes in the game, Anselmo Colucci dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. After 67 played minutes Frittole got a freekick which was hit by Anselmo Colucci. In the 69th minute, Demetrio Pan made a precise shot to the right of Edoardo Giannantonio. Frittole's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. If Carmine Borromeo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 79th minute of the match, Arrigo Salerno got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fortunato Riccitelli was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Frittole's Edoardo Giannantonio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio Pan in the 83rd minute of play. 85 minutes into the match, Demetrio Pan had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Edoardo Giannantonio. Gaione's Fortunato Riccitelli proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 88th minute of the match, managed to save Gaione from getting a goal against them. In the 95th minute Carmine Borromeo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Edoardo Giannantonio saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. For all the effort they put into the match, the Frittole players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Gaione.
