Fausto Cremonese sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gussago's Amedeo Ascoli played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Concetto Iacovacci in the 9th minute of play. In the 11th minute of the match Flavio Cangiano sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ettore Cipolla skillfully saved the ball. Fausto Cremonese received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Ettore Cipolla tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ettore Cipolla showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fausto Cremonese in the 15th minute of the match. In the 16th minute, Donato Di Gaetano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 19th minute Fausto Cremonese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Cipolla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fausto Cremonese in the 30th minute of play forced Axa FC's goalkeeper Ettore Cipolla to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Flavio Mastronardi was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gussago's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Axa FC the free kick. In the 37th match minute, Gussago was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Flavio Mastronardi to maneuver through the defense. In the 44th minute Fausto Cremonese shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ettore Cipolla saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Amedeo Ascoli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adriano Lauro, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Fausto Cremonese was the one to do the kick off. If Adriano Lauro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 64 minutes into the match, Axa FC's goalkeeper Ettore Cipolla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flavio Mastronardi. Fausto Cremonese fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ettore Cipolla having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Gussago's zone, Florian Piscopo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amedeo Ascoli came out of the goal and Florian Piscopo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 70 minutes into the match, Axa FC's goalkeeper Ettore Cipolla had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Flavio Mastronardi. After 73 played minutes Gussago got a freekick which was hit by Fausto Cremonese. The audience thought a goal was coming when Flavio Mastronardi got free with Ettore Cipolla in the 75th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Flavio Mastronardi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 76th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Flavio Mastronardi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Axa FC's Ettore Cipolla played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Cremonese in the 94th minute of play. Ettore Cipolla took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fausto Cremonese, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gussago were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
