Cristiano Pozzo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Real Padova's supporters crossed their fingers, but Antonello Campitelli was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 45 minutes into the match, Vigatto AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Pozzo came free, but Andrea Rossini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Cristiano Pozzo to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when Cristiano Pozzo got free with Andrea Rossini in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Antonello Campitelli blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrea Rossini having to make a save. Andrea Rossini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cristiano Pozzo in the 86th minute of the match. Cristiano Pozzo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Rossini having to interfere. If Antonello Campitelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The Vigatto AFC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Real Padova were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
