When Francho Baresi fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Celincordia 2's protests and gave Francho Baresi a yellow card for diving instead. Francho Baresi hit a great freekick 6 minutes into the match. If Francho Baresi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 17 minutes, Aurelio Lucchetti managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Celincordia 2's supporters crossed their fingers, but Aurelio Lucchetti was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Casorate Sempione AFC's Ernesto Di Gaetano got a free kick in the 18th minute. After 19 played minutes Casorate Sempione AFC got a freekick which was hit by Ernesto Di Gaetano. In the 24th match minute, Casorate Sempione AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ernesto Di Gaetano to maneuver through the defense. Emiliano Bolognini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Lucchetti in the 25th minute of play. Francho Baresi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Casorate Sempione AFC's Ernesto Di Gaetano got a free kick in the 29th minute. Bruno Potenza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Francho Baresi fired away a difficult shot at goal in the 35th minute. He almost succeeded, but the ball bounced in the crossbar and then went out. It was a very nice shot. Alvise Di Francesco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emiliano Bolognini having to interfere. Emiliano Bolognini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Felice Quadrini in the 43rd minute of the match. In the 45th minute Aurelio Lucchetti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emiliano Bolognini saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The supporters of Casorate Sempione AFC booed when Celincordia 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Quadrini didn't get a good kick on the ball. Franco Sergi kicked well hit freekick during the 58th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Casorate Sempione AFC's zone, Aurelio Lucchetti stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Emiliano Bolognini came out of the goal and Aurelio Lucchetti tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Aurelio Lucchetti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Emiliano Bolognini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Francho Baresi managed to get in a good position for a shot. Celincordia 2's supporters rose to their feet, but Francho Baresi was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emiliano Bolognini breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Emiliano Bolognini made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aurelio Lucchetti in the 71st minute of play. The supporters of Casorate Sempione AFC booed when Celincordia 2 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 72 match minutes in a wonderful position. Franco Sergi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 77 minutes into the match, Celincordia 2's goal looked a bit too open when Fulvio Ruzzi came free, but Cesare Ciccarelli reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Aurelio Lucchetti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 81st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Francho Baresi's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Emiliano Bolognini read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After some careless play in the Celincordia 2 defense, Fulvio Ruzzi kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Cesare Ciccarelli. The Celincordia 2 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Cesare Ciccarelli should have stopped the shot. The crowd rose to their feet as Aurelio Lucchetti kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Emiliano Bolognini. That made the score 2-1 in the 90 minute of play. Aurelio Lucchetti struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Emiliano Bolognini didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Celincordia 2. Ernesto Di Gaetano hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. When the referee blew the final whistle, Casorate Sempione AFC could leave the field as winners, despite Celincordia 2 having more of the ball for most of the match.
