Ciro Iachini charged in rather forcefully in the 5th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Iachini the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 6th minute, Ciro Iachini hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ciro Iachini got his second yellow card in the match during the 7th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. Augusto Di Tommaso could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 13th minute of the match, but Armando Brunelli made a huge save. 17 minutes into the match, Nuova Florida's goalkeeper Armando Brunelli had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Augusto Di Tommaso. After having played for 19 minutes, Alvaro Helfer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nuova Florida's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alvaro Helfer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Alvise Boninsegna made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Anselmo Pedrelli in the 21st minute of play. The audience was convinced that Alvaro Helfer's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Alvise Boninsegna was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. Anselmo Pedrelli succeeded in the game's 24th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-2. Anselmo Pedrelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Anselmo Pedrelli in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Alvise Boninsegna prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a defensive mix-up in Garbatella AF's zone, Anselmo Pedrelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alvise Boninsegna came out of the goal and Anselmo Pedrelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpected shot in the 40th minute by Augusto Di Tommaso got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alvaro Helfer in the 44th minute of play forced Garbatella AF's goalkeeper Alvise Boninsegna to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuova Florida's Anselmo Pedrelli got a good chance for a goal in the 48th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Anselmo Pedrelli to make the kick off. Alvaro Helfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 53rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Nuova Florida booed when Garbatella AF was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 56 match minutes in a wonderful position. Beppe Scannella didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alvaro Helfer fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Boninsegna having to interfere. Alvaro Helfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 60 minutes into the game, Alvaro Helfer recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Alvise Boninsegna. Alvaro Helfer showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-3. Anselmo Pedrelli's late challenge caught a Garbatella AF's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Anselmo Pedrelli helped the player get up and apologised. When Garbatella AF's Augusto Di Tommaso in the 65th minute got a chance for a shot 65th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Nuova Florida's goalie prevented a goal. With an all-out effort, Nuova Florida's Alvise Boninsegna threw himself towards the right post 69 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Anselmo Pedrelli, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Alvaro Helfer came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Nuova Florida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvaro Helfer couldn't finish the play. In the 73rd minute, Nuova Florida's Anselmo Pedrelli dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-4. After a rather tough play, Nuova Florida's Amedeo Eleuteri got a free kick in the 76th minute. In the 80th play minute Alvaro Helfer came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Alvise Boninsegna. 0-5. Alvaro Helfer sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Alvise Boninsegna showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Anselmo Pedrelli, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. If Augusto Di Tommaso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Nuova Florida's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
