Daniele Serantoni didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gavasseto FC. Cornaredo's Cesare Caroselli got a good chance for a goal in the 10th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 14th minute, Cornaredo's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Domenico Primavera fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Claudio Paris showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cesare Caroselli, who was totally free with the ball in the 17th minute. 18 minutes into the match, Domenico Pani notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gavasseto FC's Claudio Paris. Claudio Paris was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cesare Caroselli in the 21st minute of play forced Gavasseto FC's goalkeeper Claudio Paris to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 22 minutes into the game, Armin Toninelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gavasseto FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cornaredo the free kick. A collision led to Gavasseto FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Armin Toninelli hit a great ball. Cesare Caroselli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Claudio Paris having to interfere. Claudio Paris made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cesare Caroselli in the 25th minute of play. Claudio Paris came out of the goal in the 32nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cornaredo's Cesare Caroselli. But to his dismay, Cesare Caroselli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. Claudio Paris stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Cesare Caroselli's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. Domenico Primavera received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Daniele Serantoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cornaredo's Cesare Caroselli got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Gavasseto FC's Claudio Paris played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Domenico Pani in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Cornaredo were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The audience thought a goal was coming when Cesare Caroselli got free with Claudio Paris in the 54th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The audience was convinced that Domenico Pani's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Claudio Paris was relentless in the 59th minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Cornaredo's goal looked a bit too open when Cesare Ruscitti came free, but Daniele Serantoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cesare Ruscitti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Domenico Pani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 69 minutes into the match, Gavasseto FC's goalkeeper Claudio Paris had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Cesare Caroselli. In the 71st minute Cesare Ruscitti shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniele Serantoni saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 72 minutes into the match, Cesare Ruscitti had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Daniele Serantoni. Cornaredo's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Cesare Ruscitti was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-2. When Domenico Pani came up free with the goalie in the 79th minute, the Cornaredo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Domenico Pani couldn't finish the play. The supporters of Cornaredo booed when Gavasseto FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emiliano De Angelis didn't get a good kick on the ball. 90 minutes into the match, Cornaredo's Domenico Pani sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Claudio Paris narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Domenico Pani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
