The corner led Tor Tre Ponti AFC's Christian Sacchi to fire away a dangerous shot which Corrado Aversa despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Alberigo Alfani hit a great freekick 31 minutes into the match. When GIUMA's Ettore Alleva in the 33rd minute got a chance for a shot 33rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 48thth minute of the game Claudio Pietrantoni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but GIUMA's Corrado Aversa was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Claudio Pietrantoni to make the kick off. 53 minutes into the game, Bruno Pardini was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tor Tre Ponti AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave GIUMA the free kick. A collision led to Tor Tre Ponti AFC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Tor Tre Ponti AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bruno Pardini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a little luck, Tor Tre Ponti AFC's Dennis Banana got control of the ball when Dennis Pozzo tried to sneak it across the goal line. Tor Tre Ponti AFC were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
