When Emilio Feliziani fell near the penalty area in the 6th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Marano FC's protests and gave Emilio Feliziani a yellow card for diving instead. Domenico Rivera hit a great freekick 10 minutes into the match. The corner led Patagonia FC's Aurelio Sciotto to fire away a dangerous shot which Florian Nasuti despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberigo Rotondi in the 16th minute of play forced Marano FC's goalkeeper Florian Nasuti to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Marano FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 18th minute. Penalty! Alberigo Rotondi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Florian Nasuti having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Ettore Caracciolo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Patagonia FC's Amos Marsilio. Amos Marsilio was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Dave Trombetta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 45th minute by Carlo Bozzo got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Alberigo Rotondi to make the kick off. One of Patagonia FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Marano FC:s goal. After having played for 62 minutes, Ettore Caracciolo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Marano FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ettore Caracciolo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Florian Nasuti made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alberigo Rotondi in the 72nd minute of play. Marano FC's Florian Nasuti played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Rotondi in the 77th minute of play. Carlo Bozzo struck a weak shot in the 79th minute. Florian Nasuti didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Patagonia FC. Ettore Caracciolo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 86th minute, Alberigo Rotondi made a precise shot to the right of Florian Nasuti. Marano FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Ettore Caracciolo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Amos Marsilio tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd minute, Cristiano Russi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Florian Nasuti showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carlo Bozzo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute.
