Alvise Chiarelli made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Donato Palmieri in the 3rd minute of play. The supporters of Paluello booed when Stuttgart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Amedeo Caretti didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 18th minute, Amedeo Caretti made a precise shot to the right of Fabrizio Mara. Paluello's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. The supporters of Paluello booed when Stuttgart was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anselmo Casiraghi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Fabrizio Mara showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Amedeo Caretti, who was totally free with the ball in the 26th minute. Alvise Chiarelli took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Edmondo Di Natale, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stuttgart's Enrico Piano got a good chance for a goal in the 32nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Amedeo Caretti blasted a shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Fabrizio Mara having to make a save. When Adriano Imperiale came up free with the goalie in the 38th minute, the Stuttgart fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Adriano Imperiale couldn't finish the play. Alvise Chiarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donato Palmieri, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Donato Palmieri stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Donato Palmieri fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alvise Chiarelli having to interfere. Anselmo Basso kicked well hit freekick during the 54th minute of the match. Alvise Chiarelli came out of the goal in the 57th minute to try and stop a shot by Paluello's Donato Palmieri. But to his dismay, Donato Palmieri quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Paluello's Fabrizio Mara proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Paluello from getting a goal against them. Concetto Monti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Paluello's Fabrizio Mara got control of the ball when Enrico Piano tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alvise Chiarelli showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Concetto Monti, who was totally free with the ball in the 71st minute. In the 71st minute, Corrado Trevisani had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Adriano Imperiale hit a great freekick 75 minutes into the match. In the 79th match minute, Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Colantoni to maneuver through the defense. Paluello's Alfredo Orsini couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 80th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Stuttgart. Concetto Monti received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Alvise Chiarelli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alfonso Pelati struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Fabrizio Mara didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stuttgart. Amedeo Caretti recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Amedeo Caretti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrizio Mara having to interfere. In the 95th match minute, Stuttgart was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Colantoni to maneuver through the defense. Alfredo Orsini's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alvise Chiarelli read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 96th minute of play. The Stuttgart players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Paluello from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
