The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ciccio Malatesta during the 17th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Felice Di Domenico in the 31st minute of play forced Pergola's goalkeeper Fulvio Di Bernardo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 34th minute of the game. One of Pergola:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Boara:s goal. Pergola:s Fulvio Di Bernardo showed great skill when he stopped Alessandro Tesone:s penalty. In the 37th minute, Ercole Magliocco made a precise shot to the right of Domenico Ferri. Boara's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Enrico Crognale blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Domenico Ferri having to make a save. Domenico Ferri stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ercole Magliocco's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

52 minutes into the match, Pergola's goal looked a bit too open when Felice Di Domenico came free, but Fulvio Di Bernardo reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Felice Di Domenico scored 2-1 in the 53rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulvio Di Bernardo, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Diego Cara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Ercole Magliocco got free with Domenico Ferri in the 58th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 2-2 became the score in the 60th minute when Enrico Crognale elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Enrico Crognale was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 66th minute. Pergola's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 67th minute, Federico Di Toro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pergola's Fulvio Di Bernardo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diego Cara in the 71st minute of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diego Cara in the 73rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Fulvio Di Bernardo saved Pergola from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Boara's Dave Cipriani got a free kick in the 79th minute. Alexander Proietto was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 80th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Diego Cara fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Di Bernardo having to interfere. Felice Di Domenico sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fulvio Di Bernardo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Cara, who was totally free with the ball in the 97th minute. The Pergola players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Boara from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
