A collision led to Matryoska F.C. getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Ferdinando Campana hit a great ball. Montalbano FC's Claudio Rea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Maietta in the 20th minute of play. After some careless play in the Matryoska F.C. defense, Donato Giancola kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ciro Capaldo. The Matryoska F.C. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ciro Capaldo should have stopped the shot. After a rather tough play, Matryoska F.C.'s Cesare Polito got a free kick in the 32nd minute. Matryoska F.C.'s Ciro Capaldo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Donato Giancola in the 41st minute of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Donato Giancola to strike the kick off in the second half. Montalbano FC's Claudio Rea played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fabio Maietta in the 56th minute of play. In the 61st minute, Fabio Maietta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 64th minute Cristiano Pelati shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claudio Rea saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 65 minutes into the match, Montalbano FC's goal looked a bit too open when Cristiano Pelati came free, but Claudio Rea reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Montalbano FC's zone, Fabio Maietta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudio Rea came out of the goal and Fabio Maietta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Donato Giancola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ciro Capaldo having to interfere. Carter Tacconelli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 85th minute of the match, but Ciro Capaldo made a huge save. After some careless play in the Montalbano FC defense, Cristiano Pelati kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Claudio Rea. The Montalbano FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Claudio Rea should have stopped the shot. Ciro Capaldo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Donato Giancola, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Matryoska F.C. were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Montalbano FC for a fine match.
