The supporters of Castel Bolognese booed when Castel Guelfo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Florian Marcolongo didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ernesto Biscotti struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Bianco Puglielli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castel Bolognese. Fortunato Belfiores short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Bruno Foni to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Fabiano Tullio struck a weak shot in the 15th minute. Bianco Puglielli didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Castel Bolognese. If Fortunato Belfiore had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 23rd match minute, Castel Guelfo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Francesco Garofoli to maneuver through the defense. In the 24th minute of the match Frank Traini sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bianco Puglielli skillfully saved the ball. In the 25th match minute, Castel Bolognese was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alessandro Di Biagio to maneuver through the defense. Ennio Vettori blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Bruno Foni having to make a save. After 28 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Castel Bolognese! In the 32ndth minute of the game Ernesto Biscotti who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castel Guelfo FC's Bianco Puglielli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Castel Bolognese's Fabiano Tullio got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ernesto Biscotti fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Puglielli having to interfere. Amos Verdone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Bruno Foni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Florian Marcolongo's late challenge caught a Castel Bolognese's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Florian Marcolongo helped the player get up and apologised. Bianco Puglielli stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernesto Biscotti's shot from short distance in the 47th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Amos Verdone made the kick off in the second half. In the 51st minute the ball was on its way in behind Castel Bolognese's goalkeeper Bruno Foni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 54thth minute of the game Amos Verdone who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Castel Bolognese's Bruno Foni was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Fabiano Tullio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Bruno Foni came out of the goal in the 61st minute to try and stop a shot by Castel Guelfo FC's Fortunato Belfiore. But to his dismay, Fortunato Belfiore quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ernesto Biscotti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Florian Marcolongo hit a great freekick 71 minutes into the match. Fabiano Tullio recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 73rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Fortunato Belfiore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bruno Foni having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Aurelio Cavallucci hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bruno Foni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Belfiore in the 79th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Fabiano Tullio got free with Bianco Puglielli in the 81st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 84 minutes into the match, Castel Bolognese's goal looked a bit too open when Fortunato Belfiore came free, but Bruno Foni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Francesco Garofoli kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the Castel Bolognese players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Castel Guelfo FC.
