Emanuele Ianni could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 17th minute of the match, but Fulvio Piacentini made a huge save. Lions's Fulvio Piacentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Emanuele Ianni in the 20th minute of play. In the 23rd minute of the match, Demetrio Romino got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fulvio Piacentini was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. After 24 played minutes CapoEspiatorio got a freekick which was hit by Christian Lauri. 25 minutes into the match, Lions's Dino Improta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Camillo Tuzzolino narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Emanuele Ianni in the 28th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Fulvio Piacentini prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Emanuele Ianni came up free with the goalie in the 30th minute, the CapoEspiatorio fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Emanuele Ianni couldn't finish the play. In the 32nd minute, Andrea De Felice hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 40th minute Dino Improta shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Camillo Tuzzolino saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 41 minutes into the match, Dario Contestabile had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Camillo Tuzzolino. CapoEspiatorio's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Contestabile was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Fulvio Piacentini came out of the goal in the 45th minute to try and stop a shot by CapoEspiatorio's Demetrio Romino. But to his dismay, Demetrio Romino quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Emanuele Ianni stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the match, Lions's goal looked a bit too open when Demetrio Romino came free, but Fulvio Piacentini reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fedele Cesarini sent away a hard shot on goal in the 60th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Lions's Fulvio Piacentini played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fedele Cesarini in the 63rd minute of play. Dino Improta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Camillo Tuzzolino having to make a save. When Lions's Dario Contestabile in the 69th minute got a chance for a shot 69th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye CapoEspiatorio's goalie prevented a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emanuele Ianni in the 71st minute of play forced Lions's goalkeeper Fulvio Piacentini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Contestabile sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of CapoEspiatorio booed when Lions was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Daniele Romano didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 83 minutes of play, CapoEspiatorio's Emanuele Ianni made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Fulvio Piacentini was left in no man's land by his defense there! The supporters of Lions booed when CapoEspiatorio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 87 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fedele Cesarini didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dario Contestabile in the 89th minute of play forced CapoEspiatorio's goalkeeper Camillo Tuzzolino to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Dario Contestabile recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. CapoEspiatorio were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Lions for a fine match.
