After 33 played minutes Coreglia Ligure got a freekick which was hit by Arturo Corvi. Arturo Di Virgilio sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fedele Mazzone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arturo Corvi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Arturo Corvi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fedele Mazzone having to interfere. The score stood at 0-0 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Diego Teti stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. When Eugenio Adriano fell near the penalty area in the 54th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Coreglia Ligure's protests and gave Eugenio Adriano a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of San Barnaba booed when Coreglia Ligure was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eugenio Adriano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ettore Castellazzi came out of the goal and Domenico Chiappini tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ettore Castellazzi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Domenico Chiappini went, in the 87th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-0 was the resulting score. Ettore Castellazzi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Diego Teti, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. Ettore Castellazzi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Domenico Chiappini in the 92nd minute of the match. If Domenico Chiappini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 96th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. San Barnaba had won after a very even match.
