Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Cremona's Alvise Florio started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The audience thought a goal was coming when Amerigo Pallini got free with Bruno Brunetta in the 4th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 6th minute Alvise Florio shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bruno Brunetta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Biagio Anelli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fausto Muciaccia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Biagio Anelli in the 9th minute of play. After having played for 13 minutes, Amerigo Pallini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cremona's supporters crossed their fingers, but Amerigo Pallini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 15 minutes into the match, Malagrotta FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alvise Florio came free, but Bruno Brunetta reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. With a little luck, Malagrotta FC's Bruno Brunetta got control of the ball when Amerigo Pallini tried to sneak it across the goal line. Davide Pich's late challenge caught a Cremona's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Davide Pich helped the player get up and apologised. Corrado De Palma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Malagrotta FC's Bruno Brunetta got control of the ball when Amerigo Pallini tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Cremona's zone, Biagio Anelli stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fausto Muciaccia came out of the goal and Biagio Anelli tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fausto Muciaccia showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Corrado Marzoli, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. Biagio Anelli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Fausto Muciaccia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 39th match minute, Cremona was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Carlo Monaco to maneuver through the defense. Malagrotta FC's Fabio Piacente got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match, Cremona's goal looked a bit too open when Corrado Marzoli came free, but Fausto Muciaccia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line.
The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Biagio Anelli stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Corrado Marzoli succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 0-1 in the 52nd playminute. Biagio Anelli struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Fausto Muciaccia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Malagrotta FC. Corrado Marzoli could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 59th minute of the match, but Fausto Muciaccia made a huge save. Bruno Brunetta came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Cremona's Alvise Florio. But to his dismay, Alvise Florio quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. When Alvise Florio came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the Cremona fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alvise Florio couldn't finish the play. Corrado Marzoli recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 76th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Cesare Marchesani's late challenge caught a Malagrotta FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Cesare Marchesani helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Cremona getting a freekick after 84 minutes play. Cesare Marchesani hit a great ball. If Biagio Anelli had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 87th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Corrado Marzoli fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fausto Muciaccia having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 95th minute, Alvise Florio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cremona's supporters rose to their feet, but Alvise Florio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bruno Brunetta breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Malagrotta FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Fabio Piacente hit a great ball. When the match was over Malagrotta FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Cremona throughout the match.
