Ancognano's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Alberigo Di Silvio was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Vallerana AFC's Alberigo Di Silvio got a good chance for a goal in the 6th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Alberigo Di Silvio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Carmine Maccioni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 8th minute of play. 14 minutes into the match, Vallerana AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Alberigo De Feo came free, but Carmine Torri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carmine Torri took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo De Feo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ancognano's Carmine Maccioni played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo Di Silvio in the 17th minute of play. If Amedeo Furia had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Ancognano's Alberigo De Feo in the 26th minute got a chance for a shot 26th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Vallerana AFC's goalie prevented a goal. The supporters of Ancognano booed when Vallerana AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attilio Di Falco didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 32nd minute, Alberigo De Feo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Edoardo Pellecchia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Vallerana AFC's Carmine Torri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberigo De Feo in the 37th minute of play. Carmine Torri made a fantastic save in the 38th minute, when Amedeo Furia sent off a good shot on target. Carmine Maccioni showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edoardo Pellecchia in the 40th minute of the match. Alberigo Di Silvio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Carmine Maccioni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carmine Maccioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Di Silvio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Carmine Torri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alberigo De Feo, who was totally free with the ball in the 45th minute. After the first half Vallerana AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alberigo De Feo to strike the kick off in the second half. With a little luck, Ancognano's Carmine Maccioni got control of the ball when Edoardo Pellecchia tried to sneak it across the goal line. With an all-out effort, Vallerana AFC's Carmine Maccioni threw himself towards the right post 53 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Alberigo Di Silvio, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Carmine Maccioni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberigo Di Silvio, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 66 minutes into the match, Alberigo De Feo notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Vallerana AFC's Carmine Torri. Carmine Torri was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. When Cesare Suriani fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Ancognano's protests and gave Cesare Suriani a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Ancognano getting a freekick after 71 minutes play. Cesare Suriani hit a great ball. If Alberigo Di Silvio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice moves Edoardo Pellecchia could shoot a difficult shot in the 74th minute, which Carmine Maccioni however easily saved by the left post. With 76 minutes on the clock, Emiliano Gualtieri commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vallerana AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 75th minute. Penalty! Vallerana AFC:s Carmine Torri showed great skill when he stopped Florian Addario:s penalty. Edoardo Pellecchia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Daniele Guerini had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edoardo Pellecchia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmine Maccioni having to interfere. Ancognano's Amedeo Furia got a good chance for a goal in the 88th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 92nd minute, Alberigo De Feo left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Ancognano fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Ancognano fans cheered their team off the field, for while Vallerana AFC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
