Edmondo Tieri showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bruno Colella, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 6 minutes into the game, Ercole Cerrone was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boccea FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Stella San Giovanni FC the free kick. Ercole Cerrone kicked well hit freekick during the 6th minute of the match. 8 minutes into the match, Stella San Giovanni FC's goal looked a bit too open when Daniele Faieta came free, but Edmondo Tieri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 12 played minutes Boccea FC got a freekick which was hit by Dennis Pasquino. In the 17th minute, Dennis Pasquino hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ettore Santacroce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Carmine Danza having to interfere. Daniele Faieta scored 0-1 in the 20th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Edmondo Tieri, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Stella San Giovanni FC's zone, Bruno Colella stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Edmondo Tieri came out of the goal and Bruno Colella tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Daniele Faieta's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Edmondo Tieri read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 26th minute of play. When Ettore Santacroce came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Stella San Giovanni FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ettore Santacroce couldn't finish the play. Stella San Giovanni FC's Ettore Santacroce was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 30th play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Santacroce in the 34th minute of play forced Boccea FC's goalkeeper Carmine Danza to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Carmine Danza made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alessandro Monaco in the 40th minute. Daniele Faieta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Edmondo Tieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Daniele Faieta struck a weak shot in the 44th minute. Edmondo Tieri didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Boccea FC. After having played for 46 minutes, Ettore Santacroce managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stella San Giovanni FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ettore Santacroce was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

After having played for 55 minutes, Eraldo Giardini managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stella San Giovanni FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eraldo Giardini was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 57 minutes of play, Stella San Giovanni FC's Alessandro Monaco made it 3-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Carmine Danza was left in no man's land by his defense there! If Ettore Santacroce had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 63rd minute Alessandro Monaco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carmine Danza saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 68 minutes, Daniele Faieta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Boccea FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniele Faieta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bruno Colella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Edmondo Tieri tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to Stella San Giovanni FC getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Fabiano Manfredi hit a great ball. When the match clock showed 83 minutes, the score became 4-1 when Alessandro Monaco sped through Boccea FC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Carmine Danza. Bruno Colella fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Edmondo Tieri having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Stella San Giovanni FC's Eraldo Giardini got a free kick in the 90th minute. Damiano Costantino took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Carmine Danza. Boccea FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carmine Danza took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Santacroce, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Stella San Giovanni FC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Boccea FC for a fine match.
