Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Fortunato Travaglini kicked off to start the match. Anthony Leone received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Cristiano Rotolo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alberigo De Vito showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Antonello Rubini, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Biagio Santucci hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Frank Gregori kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. After 17 played minutes Serravalle got a freekick which was hit by Adriano De Carolis. The Marling fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Marling's Anthony Leone looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 24th minute of the match Marling got a corner. Serravalle's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Alberigo Scrima ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Alberigo Scrima almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Serravalle's Cristiano Rotolo did a great save. In the 29th match minute, Marling was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anthony Leone to maneuver through the defense. Fortunato Travaglini took the ball and in the 31 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alberigo De Vito. Alberigo De Vito dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Marling's Anthony Leone got a good chance for a goal in the 39th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Ettore Di Pietro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Marling's supporters rose to their feet, but Ettore Di Pietro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Cristiano Rotolo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The wind increased when Anthony Leone made the kick off in the second half. Emilio Garibaldi's late challenge caught a Marling's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Emilio Garibaldi helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Emilio Garibaldi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 65th minute Anthony Leone shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Rotolo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 67 minutes of play Marling's Frank Gregori was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. The supporters of Serravalle booed when Marling was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Frank Gregori didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ettore Di Pietro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Rotolo having to interfere. In the 84th minute Fortunato Travaglini shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alberigo De Vito saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Marling's Armin Arioli got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ettore Di Pietro in the 92nd minute of play forced Serravalle's goalkeeper Cristiano Rotolo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Rotolo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Di Pietro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Anfilogino Teodori kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. Marling walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
