The supporters of Borgetto booed when Zepponami FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Camillo Marini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Zepponami FC's zone, Demetrio Del Monaco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Panico came out of the goal and Demetrio Del Monaco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Flavio Biancone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Achille Manzi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Aldo Malinconico managed to get in a good position for a shot. Zepponami FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Aldo Malinconico was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Flavio Biancone breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 20 minutes into the game, Zepponami FC's Achille Manzi nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Flavio Biancone made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 25th minute the ball was on its way in behind Zepponami FC's goalkeeper Anthony Panico, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Demetrio Del Monaco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Achille Manzi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Anthony Panico showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Demetrio Del Monaco, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. The Borgetto fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Emiliano Nazzari in the 77th minute of play forced Zepponami FC's goalkeeper Anthony Panico to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Anthony Panico made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Demetrio Del Monaco in the 78th minute of play. Zepponami FC's Anthony Panico played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Demetrio Del Monaco in the 88th minute of play. Zepponami FC's Aldo Malinconico got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
