An unexpectedly hard shot by Alberto Bernardini in the 15th minute of play forced Monte Donato's goalkeeper Adriano Di Virgilio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 18 minutes, Fulvio Gazza mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montecavolo FC and the Monte Donato players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 18 played minutes Montecavolo FC got a freekick which was hit by Fulvio Gazza. The audience was convinced that Alberto Bernardini's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Adriano Di Virgilio was relentless in the 27th minute of the game. Adriano Cordone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bianco Pazienza having to interfere. Monte Donato's Adriano Cordone got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd match minute, Monte Donato was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Davide Petrella to maneuver through the defense. Fulvio Fini lost his temper 66 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. In a very dangerous position, a player in Montecavolo FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 66th minute. Penalty! In the 68th minute there was a penalty for Monte Donato.
