If Damiano Guidoni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 4th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 13th minute, Carter Proia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 14th minute, Alfonso Losito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Alberto Di Battista had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 20th minute, Carter Proia left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Zena fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. 33 minutes into the match, Damiano Guidoni dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Fulvio Marcucci, 1-1. After having played for 39 minutes, Alberto Di Battista managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Zena's supporters crossed their fingers, but Alberto Di Battista was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 41st minute, Carter Proia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Alberto Di Battista stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Enzo Martorella received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Fulvio Marcucci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some careless play in the Zena defense, Damiano Guidoni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Fulvio Marcucci. The Zena fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Fulvio Marcucci should have stopped the shot. Alfonso Losito's late challenge caught a Zena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Alfonso Losito helped the player get up and apologised. In the 58th match minute, Garbatella AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfonso Losito to maneuver through the defense. In the 62nd minute Eraldo Preda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fulvio Marcucci saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 71 played minutes Zena got a freekick which was hit by Amedeo Gentile. After a defensive mix-up in Zena's zone, Ciro Di Paola stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fulvio Marcucci came out of the goal and Ciro Di Paola tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carter Proia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Fabrizio Padula tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 84 minutes into the match, Garbatella AFC's goalkeeper Fabrizio Padula had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carter Proia. Enzo Martorella kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. A collision led to Garbatella AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Enzo Martorella hit a great ball. Fulvio Marcucci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eraldo Preda, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. When Ennio Contestabile fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Zena's protests and gave Ennio Contestabile a yellow card for diving instead. In the 96th match minute, Zena was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ennio Contestabile to maneuver through the defense.
