Damiano Guidoni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Aldo Cianci having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, Chieri's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Guidoni came free, but Aldo Cianci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Frank Casciano kicked well hit freekick during the 8th minute of the match. Eraldo Preda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Aldo Cianci tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 18th minute Alessio Chiarelli shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrizio Padula saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Amerigo Basilico during the 18th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Garbatella AFC getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Amerigo Basilico hit a great ball. Fabrizio Padula made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alessio Chiarelli in the 34th minute of play. Antonio Primavera kicked well hit freekick during the 40th minute of the match. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind Chieri's goalkeeper Aldo Cianci, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alessio Chiarelli made a kick off. Aldo Cianci showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damiano Guidoni, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. In the 54th minute, Alessio Chiarelli got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Chieri's Aldo Cianci proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 57th minute of the match, managed to save Chieri from getting a goal against them. When Alessio Chiarelli fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chieri's protests and gave Alessio Chiarelli a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chieri getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Alessio Chiarelli hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damiano Guidoni in the 61st minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Aldo Cianci prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 63 minutes into the match, Chieri's goal looked a bit too open when Damiano Guidoni came free, but Aldo Cianci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Damiano Guidoni's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Aldo Cianci read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. After 72 played minutes Garbatella AFC got a freekick which was hit by Achille Dionisi. Alessio Chiarelli kicked well hit freekick during the 73rd minute of the match. Garbatella AFC's Alfonso Losito got a good chance for a goal in the 80th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Garbatella AFC's Damiano Guidoni in the 82nd minute got a chance for a shot 82nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Chieri's goalie prevented a goal. Garbatella AFC's Fabrizio Padula played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Davide Oddi in the 86th minute of play. The Chieri fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. The referee showed Frank Casciano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
