With his leg Alessio Schiavo managed to avoid a goal in the 7thth minute, when Zena's Carter Proia fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Attilio De Nardis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fulvio Marcucci having to interfere. If Attilio De Nardis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alessio Schiavo took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alberto Di Battista, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Attilio De Nardis scored 0-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Fulvio Marcucci, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Alberto Di Battista made a kick off. Fulvio Marcucci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ercole Manzi in the 57th minute of the match. In the 63rd minute Carter Proia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alessio Schiavo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Attilio De Nardis got free with Fulvio Marcucci in the 86th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.
