Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Alfonso De Laurentiis started the match with the kick off. Carmine Laurenti struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Andrea Bassi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palidoro. In the 4th minute, Dennis Castagna hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Frank Anastasi fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Palidoro's protests and gave Frank Anastasi a yellow card for diving instead. After 6 played minutes Palidoro got a freekick which was hit by Frank Anastasi. 8 minutes into the match, Palidoro's goalkeeper Antonello Nazzaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Gaudino. Palidoro's Frank Anastasi got a good chance for a goal in the 12th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Antonello Nazzaro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alfonso De Laurentiis in the 14th minute of play. 16 minutes into the match, Palidoro's goalkeeper Antonello Nazzaro had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Antonio Gaudino. After a defensive mix-up in Cerreto Alto's zone, Frank Anastasi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Andrea Bassi came out of the goal and Frank Anastasi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Bassi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Carmine Laurenti, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Andrea Bassi came out of the goal in the 19th minute to try and stop a shot by Palidoro's Carmine Laurenti. But to his dismay, Carmine Laurenti quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Andrea Bassi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Frank Anastasi's shot from short distance in the 23rd minute. In the 27th minute of the match Felice Franco shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Andrea Bassi showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Andrea Bassi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Frank Anastasi in the 33rd minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Frank Anastasi in the 35th minute of play forced Cerreto Alto's goalkeeper Andrea Bassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the match, Dario Frasca had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Andrea Bassi. Cerreto Alto's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Dario Frasca was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-3. 41 minutes into the game, Armin Cirelli was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Palidoro's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerreto Alto the free kick. Antonio Gaudino received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Antonello Nazzaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Christian Barducci's late challenge caught a Cerreto Alto's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Christian Barducci helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Cerreto Alto booed when Palidoro was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Christian Barducci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Disappointed in the 0-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Carmine Laurenti to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Carmine Laurenti in the 60th minute of play forced Cerreto Alto's goalkeeper Andrea Bassi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Frank Anastasi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Andrea Bassi having to interfere. Dario Frasca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Andrea Bassi having to make a save. Carmine Laurenti sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Frank Anastasi scored 0-6 in the 80th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Andrea Bassi, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Palidoro were furious when Beppe Trevisani was red carded, 86 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 85th minute of the game. One of Palidoro:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Cerreto Alto:s goal. Frank Anastasi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Andrea Bassi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 95th minute, Frank Anastasi fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerreto Alto's goalkeeper Andrea Bassi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
