The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Alex Nobili made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fortunato Gentile in the 5th minute of play. In the 8th minute, one of San Rocco:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for San Rocco. In the 9th minute there was a penalty for Cornocchio FC. Demetrio Bianco stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Alex Nobili. 0-1. Andrea Borromeo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Domenico Renzetti made a huge save. In the 20th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Rocco's goalkeeper Alex Nobili, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fausto Costanzo kicked well hit freekick during the 23rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in San Rocco's zone, Diego Angelici stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alex Nobili came out of the goal and Diego Angelici tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Andrea Borromeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Domenico Renzetti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Elia Di Gregorio in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Domenico Renzetti prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Elia Di Gregorio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Renzetti having to interfere. Alexander Armellini fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Domenico Renzetti having to interfere. In the 45thth minute of the game Diego Angelici who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but San Rocco's Alex Nobili was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Elia Di Gregorio had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Elia Di Gregorio made the kick off in the second half. Andrea Borromeo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 53rd minute. A very good chance. 67 minutes into the match, Cornocchio FC's goal looked a bit too open when Elia Di Gregorio came free, but Domenico Renzetti reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 69th minute the ball was on its way in behind San Rocco's goalkeeper Alex Nobili, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Alex Nobili showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Fortunato Gentile in the 81st minute of the match. Fortunato Gentile's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alex Nobili read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in San Rocco's zone, Fortunato Gentile stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. After having played for 93 minutes, Diego Angelici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cornocchio FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diego Angelici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Cornocchio FC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
