The supporters of San Rocco booed when Cavalicco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Felice Limitone didn't get a good kick on the ball. After recieving a nice pass, San Rocco's Arturo Luzi tried to score from far away in the 6th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. San Rocco were awarded a corner in the 10th minute after Cavalicco's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Arturo Luzi took the corner. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Cavalicco's goalie and right to Elia Di Gregorio. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Cavalicco's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Elia Di Gregorio in the 18th minute of play forced Cavalicco's goalkeeper Arturo Imperatrice to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Francesco Forte might have been able to make a better finish in the 19th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alex Nobili. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Francesco Forte ran back to his position shaking his head. After a defensive mix-up in Cavalicco's zone, Andrea Borromeo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Arturo Imperatrice came out of the goal and Andrea Borromeo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ferruccio Galeone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alex Nobili took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Francesco Forte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Ferruccio Galeone managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cavalicco's supporters rose to their feet, but Ferruccio Galeone was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alex Nobili breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Ferruccio Galeone struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Alex Nobili didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Cavalicco. Ferruccio Galeone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Nobili having to interfere. After 35 played minutes San Rocco got a freekick which was hit by Alexander Armellini. Amerigo Iacobucci was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Ferruccio Galeone fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alex Nobili having to interfere. If Ferruccio Galeone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Cavalicco booed when San Rocco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fausto Costanzo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Francesco Forte made a kick off. Andrea Borromeo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Elia Di Gregorio's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Arturo Imperatrice read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 56th minute of play. Arturo Imperatrice made a fantastic save in the 58th minute, when Andrea Borromeo sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Elia Di Gregorio managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Rocco's Andrea Borromeo got a good chance for a goal in the 90th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Elia Di Gregorio succeeded in the game's 92nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 0-1. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched San Rocco eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
