Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Palermo's Augusto Di Liddo got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Carter Dominicis short, quick shot in the 7thth minute got Emanuele Campoli to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Augusto Celli hit a great freekick 7 minutes into the match. Augusto Di Liddo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Fabio Battista tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Montacuto AFC's Emanuele Manzoni got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. With a little luck, Palermo's Emanuele Campoli got control of the ball when Carter Dominici tried to sneak it across the goal line. After 25 minutes, Frank Colonna mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Montacuto AFC and the Palermo players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 25 played minutes Montacuto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Frank Colonna. When Emanuele Manzoni fell near the penalty area in the 27th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Montacuto AFC's protests and gave Emanuele Manzoni a yellow card for diving instead. In the 27th minute, Emanuele Manzoni hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Montacuto AFC getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Carter Sammartano hit a great ball. After 32 played minutes Montacuto AFC got a freekick which was hit by Antonello Marchesani. Alexander Pozzo struck a weak shot in the 34th minute. Fabio Battista didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Palermo. When Aurelio Chitarroni came up free with the goalie in the 39th minute, the Palermo fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aurelio Chitarroni couldn't finish the play. In the 42nd minute, Edmondo Di Persio left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Palermo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Achille Schirru to strike the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Montacuto AFC getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Emanuele Manzoni hit a great ball. Fabio Battista took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexander Pozzo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabio Battista made an important save on a dangerous shot by Alexander Pozzo in the 56th minute. Montacuto AFC's Fabio Battista proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 60th minute of the match, managed to save Montacuto AFC from getting a goal against them. If Alexander Pozzo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Montacuto AFC's Fabio Battista played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexander Pozzo in the 65th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Achille Schirru ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuele Campoli was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Emanuele Campoli came out of the goal in the 70th minute to try and stop a shot by Montacuto AFC's Augusto Celli. But to his dismay, Augusto Celli quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Fabio Battista stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Alexander Pozzo's shot from short distance in the 77th minute. After having played for 82 minutes, Edmondo Di Persio managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Palermo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edmondo Di Persio was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Palermo's Alexander Pozzo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fabio Battista narrowly saved just below the crossbar. A collision led to Montacuto AFC getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Carter Dominici hit a great ball. Palermo's supporters were dissatisfied at the end of the match because Montacuto AFC had won, even though Palermo had held more of the ball.
