Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Ettore Ferretti got the match started through his kick off. Antonio Lio had great luck who in the 4thth minute grab hold of the ball when Damiano Oddi from a short distance tried to put the ball inside the right post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ermanno Buonanno in the 5th minute of play forced Bolzano Bozen's goalkeeper Cristoforo Scarpone to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristoforo Scarpone took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ettore Ferretti, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Ermanno Buonanno came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the Copparo AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ermanno Buonanno couldn't finish the play. 15 minutes into the match, Ettore Ferretti notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Bolzano Bozen's Cristoforo Scarpone. Cristoforo Scarpone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Alberigo Egger recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 26th minute Ermanno Buonanno shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristoforo Scarpone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bolzano Bozen's Cristoforo Scarpone played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ettore Ferretti in the 27th minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Damiano Oddi in the 32nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Antonio Lio prevented the ball from getting in the gole. If Damiano Oddi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. Cristoforo Scarpone was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After the first half Copparo AFC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Damiano Oddi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Ettore Ferretti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 58 minutes into the match, Bolzano Bozen's goal looked a bit too open when Ettore Ferretti came free, but Cristoforo Scarpone reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 59th minute, Ermanno Buonanno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ermanno Buonanno could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 72nd minute of the match, but Cristoforo Scarpone made a huge save. Copparo AFC were awarded a corner in the 73th minute after Bolzano Bozen's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Aldo Migliorati took the corner. After a rather tough play, Bolzano Bozen's Fabio Rulli got a free kick in the 76th minute. Ermanno Buonanno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Cristoforo Scarpone tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ettore Ferretti received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cristoforo Scarpone came out and tried to block the shot, but Ettore Ferretti slotted it home off the left post making it 0-3 in the 82nd minute. Bolzano Bozen's Francesco Pagliuca suffered a sore thigh after 92 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angelo Marini during the 92nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Copparo AFC's Dave Orecchioni got a free kick in the 95th minute. Corrado Di Maria charged in rather forcefully in the 96th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Corrado Di Maria the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 96th minute, Corrado Di Maria hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Copparo AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
