Fabiano Trombetta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ermanno Buonanno struck a weak shot in the 12th minute. Felice De Feo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Copparo AFC. Ermanno Buonanno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Felice De Feo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Copparo AFC booed when Gambulaga FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Fontanive didn't get a good kick on the ball. 17 minutes into the match, Copparo AFC's Ettore Ferretti sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Felice De Feo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Ettore Ferretti put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Felice De Feo. After having played for 23 minutes, Fabiano Trombetta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gambulaga FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fabiano Trombetta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 29 minutes into the game, Ermanno Buonanno cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Felice De Feo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 37th match minute, Copparo AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudio Di Toro to maneuver through the defense. In the 38th play minute Armin Travaglini came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Antonio Lio. 1-2. Amedeo Ippoliti hit a great freekick 42 minutes into the match. Ermanno Buonanno spun around in front of the goal 43 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Gambulaga FC's goal. Dave Orecchioni fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 47th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Felice De Feo having to interfere.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ettore Ferretti to make the kick off. If Ettore Ferretti had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Antonio Lio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armin Travaglini, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Ermanno Buonanno managed to get in a good position for a shot. Copparo AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ermanno Buonanno was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Felice De Feo breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Dino Coco kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. The long shot by Aldo Migliorati in the 70th minute really tested Felice De Feo's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. After 72 minutes, Ettore Ferretti made it 1-4 with a short kick to the right side. Gambulaga FC's Felice De Feo tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 76th minute, Ermanno Buonanno got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Ettore Ferretti's late challenge caught a Gambulaga FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Ettore Ferretti helped the player get up and apologised. Copparo AFC's Antonio Lio played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Armin Travaglini in the 83rd minute of play. Armin Travaglini recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antonio Lio took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fabiano Trombetta, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Gambulaga FC booed when Copparo AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angelo Marini didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Copparo AFC's zone, Fabiano Trombetta stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Antonio Lio came out of the goal and Fabiano Trombetta tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Copparo AFC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
