Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Armando Di Mascio got the match started through his kick off. Camillo Scarinci showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Chiola in the 3rd minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuele Giacomini got free with Camillo Scarinci in the 5th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Persico AFC's Emanuele Giacomini got a good chance for a goal in the 7th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Camillo Scarinci stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dave Chiola's shot from short distance in the 9th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Filippo Topatigh during the 12th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Sesto San Giovanni's Filippo Topatigh got a free kick in the 12th minute. Filippo Topatigh might have been able to make a better finish in the 15th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Arturo Montini. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Filippo Topatigh ran back to his position shaking his head. 17 minutes into the match, Sesto San Giovanni's Armando Di Mascio sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Montini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 21st minute, Bianco Bussi hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Fabiano Panino during the 23rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Persico AFC getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Fabiano Panino hit a great ball. In the 24th minute of the match Diego Moretti sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Arturo Montini skillfully saved the ball. Sesto San Giovanni's Filippo Topatigh got a good chance for a goal in the 28th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arturo Montini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Filippo Topatigh, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. In the 40th minute, Armando Di Mascio got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 42nd minute, one of Sesto San Giovanni:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Sesto San Giovanni. In the 44th minute there was a penalty for Persico AFC. Domenico Gerola stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Camillo Scarinci. 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Dave Chiola to make the kick off. In a very dangerous position, a player in Persico AFC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 53rd minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 55 minutes, Sesto San Giovanni's Diego Moretti got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Arturo Montini. 61 minutes into the match, Sesto San Giovanni's Carmine Bosco sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Arturo Montini narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Filippo Topatigh had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Armando Di Mascio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Arturo Montini tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Armando Di Mascio fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Arturo Montini having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Dave Chiola during the 76th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Dave Chiola hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Emanuele Giacomini struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Camillo Scarinci didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Persico AFC. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Corrado Pallotta during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Sesto San Giovanni getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Corrado Pallotta hit a great ball. 87 minutes into the match, Sesto San Giovanni's goal looked a bit too open when Dave Chiola came free, but Camillo Scarinci reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 89 minutes of play, Persico AFC's Dave Chiola made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Camillo Scarinci was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a rather tough play, Persico AFC's Emanuele Giacomini got a free kick in the 92nd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Armando Di Mascio in the 95th minute of play forced Persico AFC's goalkeeper Arturo Montini to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Persico AFC fans cheered their team off the field, for while Sesto San Giovanni had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
