Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Gerno FC's Anselmo Bonanni started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Arrigo Orecchioni blasted a shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Carlo Pennetta having to make a save. Ernesto Di Piazza hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. In the 15thth minute of the game Anselmo Bonanni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basilicagoiano AFC's Franco Di Luca was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Anselmo Bonanni managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gerno FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Anselmo Bonanni was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Franco Di Luca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When Ercole Palomba came up free with the goalie in the 19th minute, the Gerno FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ercole Palomba couldn't finish the play. Arrigo Guerriero took the ball and in the 22 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Carlo Pennetta. Carlo Pennetta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. Bruno Galdi's late challenge caught a Basilicagoiano AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Bruno Galdi helped the player get up and apologised. Anselmo Bonanni recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Anselmo Bonanni had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 46 minutes of play, Gerno FC's Ercole Palomba made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Franco Di Luca was left in no man's land by his defense there!

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arrigo Orecchioni was the one to do the kick off. After having played for 54 minutes, Arrigo Orecchioni managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Basilicagoiano AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arrigo Orecchioni was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carlo Pennetta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arrigo Orecchioni, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ercole Palomba fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Franco Di Luca having to interfere. Carlo Pennetta made an important save on a dangerous shot by Filippo Schiacciacasse in the 69th minute. Basilicagoiano AFC's Franco Di Luca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ercole Palomba in the 72nd minute of play. Carlo Pennetta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arrigo Orecchioni, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ercole Palomba in the 83rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Franco Di Luca saved Basilicagoiano AFC from getting behind. Franco Di Luca showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Anselmo Bonanni in the 84th minute of the match. Filippo Schiacciacasse's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 88thth minute, Carlo Pennetta skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ciro Moriggi hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. The corner led Basilicagoiano AFC's Emanuele Mansueto to fire away a dangerous shot which Carlo Pennetta despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. The Basilicagoiano AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
