Anthony Franceschini showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ercole Cianci, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. After a defensive mix-up in US Colline Livorno's zone, Emanuele Marconi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Anthony Franceschini showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dave Colantoni in the 12th minute of the match. Dave Giuliani recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 47th minute, Ercole Cianci ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Anthony Franceschini was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ercole Cianci to make the kick off. Edoardo Giannetta took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Emanuele Marconi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ferdinando Sciascia hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. The referee showed Frank Pietrantoni the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The US Colline Livorno players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Vecchiazzano from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
