The referee ignored Varasd's protests and gave Szabolcs Vargha a yellow card for diving instead. Márton Markos struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. László Szentesi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bezenye. Szabolcs Moravecz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 12th minute, Márton Markos got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Lázár Boros came up free with the goalie in the 15th minute, the Bezenye fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lázár Boros couldn't finish the play. László Szentesi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Szabolcs Moravecz, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. The supporters of Varasd booed when Bezenye was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zoltán Pálosi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 20th minute, Imre Füzesi sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bezenye's Mátyás Mónos didn't even have to move. If Ferenc Győrffy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 31 played minutes Varasd got a freekick which was hit by István Demeter. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Varasd's goalkeeper László Szentesi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. László Szentesi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Szabolcs Moravecz in the 37th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Bezenye's zone, Ferenc Bollobás stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mátyás Mónos came out of the goal and Ferenc Bollobás tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Márton Markos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute the ball was on its way in behind Varasd's goalkeeper László Szentesi, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 47 minutes into the match, Bezenye's Márton Markos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that László Szentesi narrowly saved just below the crossbar. László Szentesi stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Szabolcs Moravecz's shot from short distance in the 48th minute. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

Ferenc Győrffy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mátyás Mónos having to interfere. Varasd's László Szentesi proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 85th minute of the match, managed to save Varasd from getting a goal against them. Bezenye's Szabolcs Moravecz got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Ferenc Bollobás came up free with the goalie in the 94th minute, the Varasd fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ferenc Bollobás couldn't finish the play. If Ferenc Bollobás had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
