Ráckeve S.E.'s Csaba Vass proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 14th minute of the match, managed to save Ráckeve S.E. from getting a goal against them. 19 minutes into the game, Vasas FC's Roland Mester nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Csaba Vass made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. In the 22nd match minute, Ráckeve S.E. was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferenc Markó to maneuver through the defense. Dávid Marton was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 25 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Vasas FC fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 25th minute. Penalty! In the 27th minute there was a penalty for Ráckeve S.E.. Attila Zolnai stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Lóránt Lantos. 3-1. Ráckeve S.E.'s Csaba Vass proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 30th minute of the match, managed to save Ráckeve S.E. from getting a goal against them. Roland Mester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Csaba Vass having to interfere. If Roland Mester had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 40th minute, Rudolf Tóth hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Roland Mester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Csaba Vass having to interfere. Árpád Tolnai might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Csaba Vass. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Árpád Tolnai ran back to his position shaking his head. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

After 53 minutes, Illés Sass mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Vasas FC and the Ráckeve S.E. players grew even worse after the yellow card. Csaba Vass showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Illés Sass in the 61st minute of the match. Lóránt Lantos made an important save on a dangerous shot by György Polyák in the 64th minute. In the 65th minute, Roland Mester got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Csaba Vass showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Roland Mester, who was totally free with the ball in the 70th minute. Vasas FC's Roland Mester got a good chance for a goal in the 71st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Csaba Végh managed to get in a good position for a shot. Vasas FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Csaba Végh was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Csaba Vass breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Ráckeve S.E. getting a freekick after 76 minutes play. József Jónás hit a great ball. 76 minutes into the match, Vasas FC's Csongor Sós broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. Illés Sass fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Csaba Vass having to interfere. 87 minutes into the match, Ráckeve S.E.'s goal looked a bit too open when Roland Mester came free, but Csaba Vass reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rudolf Tóth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. György Polyák could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 91st minute of the match, but Lóránt Lantos made a huge save. Roland Mester's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Csaba Vass read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 93rd minute of play. After having played for 94 minutes, Illés Sass managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vasas FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Illés Sass was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
