The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Tamás Keserű hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. The supporters of Rába ETO booed when Roughstate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. György Demeter didn't get a good kick on the ball. Márton Tokody scored 1-0 in the 17th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Kálmán Sándor, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. An unexpectedly hard shot by Krisztián Jánosi in the 20th minute of play forced Roughstate's goalkeeper Tibor Koós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tibor Koós showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Károly Bartha, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. When Roughstate's Balázs Görbe in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Rába ETO's goalie prevented a goal. Balázs Görbe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kálmán Sándor having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Károly Barthas short, quick shot in the 59thth minute got Tibor Koós to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Márton Tokody might have been able to make a better finish in the 61st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Kálmán Sándor. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Márton Tokody ran back to his position shaking his head. Balázs Görbe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Rába ETO booed when Roughstate was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 69 match minutes in a wonderful position. Attila Szalontai didn't get a good kick on the ball. 71 minutes in the game Róbert Szűcs got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. When the match had gone on for 74 minutes, Krisztián Jánosi took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for Tibor Koós to make any attempt to save it. Tibor Sörös hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. 79 minutes into the match, Rába ETO's goal looked a bit too open when Balázs Görbe came free, but Kálmán Sándor reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Balázs Görbe received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Kálmán Sándor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Rába ETO's zone, György Demeter stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kálmán Sándor came out of the goal and György Demeter tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kálmán Sándor showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balázs Görbe in the 94th minute of the match. György Demeter received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. Kálmán Sándor tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew the final whistle, you could see the dissatisfaction in the Roughstate players' eyes. They were disappointed they hadn't taken more from the game.
