Krisztián Tunyogi started the match with the kick off. 14 minutes into the match, University of West's goal looked a bit too open when Rafael Sági came free, but Pál Lovász reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Boldizsár Szép took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bálint Döbrögi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of University of West booed when Csonkahegyhát SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Péter Grosics didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kjell Vennerkvist kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. A collision led to University of West getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Kjell Vennerkvist hit a great ball. Csonkahegyhát SC's Boldizsár Szép played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Vennerkvist in the 35th minute of play. After some careless play in the Csonkahegyhát SC defense, Okan Buyruk kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Boldizsár Szép. The Csonkahegyhát SC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Boldizsár Szép should have stopped the shot. Kjell Vennerkvist scored 1-2 in the 41st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Boldizsár Szép, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Kjell Vennerkvist made a kick off. Csonkahegyhát SC's Boldizsár Szép played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kjell Vennerkvist in the 52nd minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Okan Buyruk kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Boldizsár Szép. That made the score 1-3 in the 53 minute of play. Szilárd Pálosi took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Boldizsár Szép. Csonkahegyhát SC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. With a little luck, Csonkahegyhát SC's Boldizsár Szép got control of the ball when Bálint Döbrögi tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Csonkahegyhát SC booed when University of West was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kjell Vennerkvist didn't get a good kick on the ball. Csonkahegyhát SC's defense didn't have a chance, in the 67th minute, when Kjell Vennerkvist scored to the left of an out of position Boldizsár Szép, making the score, 1-4. The supporters of University of West booed when Csonkahegyhát SC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Béla Szántó didn't get a good kick on the ball. Boldizsár Szép didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Kjell Vennerkvist went, in the 71st minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Kjell Vennerkvist struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Boldizsár Szép didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for University of West. In the 78th minute, one of Csonkahegyhát SC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Csonkahegyhát SC. In the 83rd minute Bálint Döbrögi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Boldizsár Szép saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Boldizsár Szép was out of position in the 91 minute of play, and Kjell Vennerkvist capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Kjell Vennerkvist really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. In the 95th minute, Bálint Döbrögi ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Boldizsár Szép was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-7. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. University of West had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
