Urfaspor's Pavel Markulj played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ivan Jamičić in the 3rd minute of play. The referee felt a red card was in order, 15 minutes into the game, when Milivoj Posavski put in a rough tackle. In the 15th match minute, Urfaspor was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Milivoj Posavski to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Vlaho Jeras in the 17th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pavel Markulj prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A collision led to Urfaspor getting a freekick after 18 minutes play. Lado Kifer hit a great ball. Šimun Supičić was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 19th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. In the 21st minute, Stipe Čotić made a precise shot to the right of Pavel Markulj. Urfaspor's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. In the 26th minute, Vlaho Jeras got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Donji Miholjac booed when Urfaspor was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 29 match minutes in a wonderful position. Zdeslav Galov didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Urfaspor's Tonči Pavičić got a free kick in the 31st minute. Vlaho Jeras's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Pavel Markulj read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. Pavel Markulj took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Sergej Marcelić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 48 minutes into the match, Vlaho Jeras notched a goal, 0-2, to the right of Urfaspor's Pavel Markulj. Pavel Markulj was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Dado Zlatarević stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After 54 minutes, Stipe Čotić mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Donji Miholjac and the Urfaspor players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Donji Miholjac got a freekick which was hit by Stipe Čotić. When Dado Zlatarević came up free with the goalie in the 56th minute, the Urfaspor fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dado Zlatarević couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice moves Vlaho Jeras could shoot a difficult shot in the 94th minute, which Pavel Markulj however easily saved by the left post. Pavel Markulj showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ivan Jamičić in the 96th minute of the match.
