Ljubo Markotić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanimir Prlić having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Ljubo Markotić made a precise shot to the right of Stanimir Prlić. Križevci Naprijed's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. In the 19th minute, Borko Benjak left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Križevci Naprijed fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Križevci Naprijed's Đuro Mohorović got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Borko Benjak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikola Stepić having to interfere. 38 minutes into the match, Križevci Naprijed's goalkeeper Stanimir Prlić had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ljubo Markotić. Borko Benjak struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Nikola Stepić didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Križevci Naprijed. After the first half Križevci Naprijed were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Edo Đalski stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Borko Benjak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 63rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nikola Stepić having to interfere. In the 65th minute the ball was on its way in behind HNK Cibalia's goalkeeper Nikola Stepić, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nikola Stepić was out of position in the 68 minute of play, and Borko Benjak capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Borko Benjak really showed his touch with that goal: 1-3. Nikola Stepić was a little too slow when Đuro Mohorović got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 72nd minute. The score was now 1-4. If Ljubo Markotić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 82nd minute, Edo Đalski ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Stanimir Prlić was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-4. Edo Đalski fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Stanimir Prlić having to interfere. Stanimir Prlić made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adrijan Zorić in the 93rd minute of play. In the 96th minute, Ljubo Markotić got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Križevci Naprijed walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
