If Sanjin Svoren had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jurica Mirković during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Sanjin Svoren could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Božo Kolić made a huge save. Mate Samardžić fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Perica Tukša having to interfere. Božo Kolić showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ante Rendulić in the 27th minute of the match. Božo Kolić took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ante Rendulić, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ante Rendulić received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Božo Kolić tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sanjin Svoren blasted a shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Božo Kolić having to make a save. Ante Rendulić recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Varaždinske Toplice Zrinski's Božo Kolić proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 40th minute of the match, managed to save Varaždinske Toplice Zrinski from getting a goal against them. Tomica Drušković received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Perica Tukša tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ante Rendulić made a kick off. The crowd rose to their feet as Tomica Drušković kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Perica Tukša. That made the score 1-1 in the 54 minute of play. Sanjin Svoren scored 2-1 in the 60th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Božo Kolić, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. If Ante Rendulić had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Juraj Orešić hit a great freekick 81 minutes into the match. Božo Kolić came out of the goal in the 82nd minute to try and stop a shot by Kutina's Ante Rendulić. But to his dismay, Ante Rendulić quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-1. After some fancy dribbling in the 86th minute, Sanjin Svoren managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kutina's supporters rose to their feet, but Sanjin Svoren was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Božo Kolić breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sanjin Svoren fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Božo Kolić having to interfere. 91 minutes into the game, Sanjin Svoren cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 4-1. Božo Kolić was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 95 minutes into the match, Varaždinske Toplice Zrinski's goal looked a bit too open when Sanjin Svoren came free, but Božo Kolić reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Božo Kolić came out of the goal in the 97th minute to try and stop a shot by Kutina's Sanjin Svoren. But to his dismay, Sanjin Svoren quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1.
