Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Chassieu's Leon Lesueur started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Laxou's Johan Foulquier got a good chance for a goal in the 3rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 4 minutes into the game, Donald Metayer was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chassieu's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Laxou the free kick. 8 minutes into the game, Hubert Delorme recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Chris Ravard. Hubert Delorme showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Johan Foulquier in the 15th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Constantin Lagneau saved Chassieu from getting behind. Johan Foulquier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Constantin Lagneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 19th match minute, Chassieu was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Faudel Bernardi to maneuver through the defense. Charles Pannier fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Constantin Lagneau having to interfere. Charles Pannier received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Constantin Lagneau tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute Charles Pannier shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Constantin Lagneau saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ferdinand Taverne kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Laxou's Chris Ravard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leon Lesueur in the 36th minute of play. Laxou's Chris Ravard proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 38th minute of the match, managed to save Laxou from getting a goal against them. Diego Watier charged in rather forcefully in the 40th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Diego Watier the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Diego Watier kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. After recieving a nice pass, Chassieu's Ferdinand Taverne tried to score from far away in the 41st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Leon Lesueur received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Chris Ravard tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chris Ravard came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by Chassieu's Leon Lesueur. But to his dismay, Leon Lesueur quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0.
If Charles Pannier had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leon Lesueur's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Chris Ravard read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 67th minute of play. After 68 minutes of play, Laxou's Charles Pannier made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Constantin Lagneau was left in no man's land by his defense there! After a defensive mix-up in Laxou's zone, Leon Lesueur stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chris Ravard came out of the goal and Leon Lesueur tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The Chassieu fans' excitement grew in the 76th match minute when Chassieu's Leon Lesueur looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hubert Delorme in the 84th minute of play forced Laxou's goalkeeper Chris Ravard to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 89th minute, Leon Lesueur managed to get in a good position for a shot. Chassieu's supporters rose to their feet, but Leon Lesueur was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Chris Ravard breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Constantin Lagneau showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Johan Foulquier, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Chassieu had won after a very even match.
