Karim Boulesteix might have been able to make a better finish in the 10th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abraham Florence. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Karim Boulesteix ran back to his position shaking his head. Ramzy Faisant made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Laurent Prin in the 15th minute of play. A collision led to Ballainvilliers getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Aymerick Trichard hit a great ball. Terry Warin could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Ramzy Faisant made a huge save. If Aurélien Tonon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Barthélémy Barbier kicked well hit freekick during the 22nd minute of the match. With a little luck, Ballainvilliers's Ramzy Faisant got control of the ball when Terry Warin tried to sneak it across the goal line. When Betton's Laurent Prin in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ballainvilliers's goalie prevented a goal. 28 minutes into the game, José Doucet was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ballainvilliers's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Betton the free kick. José Doucet hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to Betton getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Djibril Biais hit a great ball. In the 35th minute, Karim Boulesteix ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Abraham Florence was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. 39 minutes into the game, Karim Boulesteix cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Abraham Florence was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Karim Boulesteix had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Karim Boulesteix made a kick off. When Laurent Prin got free in front of the goal in the 52nd minute he wasn't very focused and chipped the ball just over the goal. Ramzy Faisant was delighted since he was out of position and the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. If Aurélien Tonon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 56th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Laurent Prin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ramzy Faisant having to interfere. In the 64th minute Laurent Prin shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ramzy Faisant saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 66 minutes into the game, Éluard Réant was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The audience was convinced that Aurélien Tonon's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abraham Florence was relentless in the 92nd minute of the game. Karim Boulesteix recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 94th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
